Summary:
The GPR survey has been carried out for an approximate road length of 16.4 km of Package 2A of Bangalore metro project, Karnataka. The scope of work includes the mapping of the alignment of already existing pipelines in the area, up to the depth of around 6 m using non-destructive Ground Penetrating Radar Technology. The purpose of the project was to map all the underground utilities in order to prevent the damage to the same during the construction phase.
The area has been executed using 400 MHz and 200 MHz center frequency antennas mounted with GSSI SIR 4000 GPR systems. Data was collected in a parallel grid pattern with an effective spacing of 20 m to obtain the precise results.
