Underground Utility Mapping for station areas in the alignment of PC-01 Patna Metro for NCC Ltd.
Scope of Work:
GPR Investigation to map underground utilities for Metro Staions up to depth of 6 m.
Location:
All five proposed Metro Staions (Malahi Pakhri , Khemni Chawk , Bhootnath , Zero Mile , ISBT Bus Station) at Patna Bihar .

Equipment:
GSSI SIR 4000 equipped with 400 MHz and 200 MHz center frequency antennas.
Challenges:
Heavy traffic and undulation.
Summary:
The survey has been executed at five proposed metro stations using non-destructive Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology. . The purpose of the survey was to map all the possible underground metallic and non-metallic utilities for smooth constructing the metro station and to prevent the damage to the same during the project execution. Total area was scanned approximately 6000 square meters at five different proposed metro station.
The Survey has been executed using 400 MHz and 200 MHz center frequency antennas mounted with GSSI SIR 4000 GPR systems. Data was collected in longitudinal and transverse direction up to maximum accessibility.
